A SPECTACULAR PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
Wednesday 12 August 2026
Look to the west-north-west as the Moon passes in front of the Sun. Our Top Field is perfectly positioned to see this!!
Eclipse begins: approximately 6:18pm
Maximum eclipse: approximately 7:15pm
Eclipse ends: approximately 8:09pm
Around 95% of the Sun is expected to be obscured at the peak—making this one of the most impressive eclipses visible from the UK in many years.
VIEW IT SAFELY
Never look directly at the Sun.
Ordinary sunglasses are not safe. Only use genuine, undamaged eclipse glasses marked ISO 12312-2:2015, or watch indirectly using a properly made pinhole projector.
