The nearest beach is a genuine mile down the lane at Inner Hope Cove - part of the old fishing village of Hope Cove. Here you can enjoy the sandy beach, which is well known for its safe bathing or take advantage of the fishing and boating facilities available. It is also a favoured haunt for diving enthusiasts.

In Hope Cove, there is one public house which provide hot meals, a Post office and a small restaurant. Above us, just under a mile away, is Bolberry Down, a National Trust Preservation Area renowned for its cliff top walks and spectacular coastal views. The walk from Bolberry Down to Bolt Tail and down to Inner Hope is a must with its views over Bigbury Bay.
